Wilkes Twin Lakes

Twin Lakes is a 22-acre recreational facility for swimming, fishing, and hiking that operates on a reservation-only basis. Annual reservations start on April 1. Check our Availability Calendar to see open dates and to book your next event.

Twin Lakes was established in the 1950s by H. P. Pace and his son Junior for community fishing. In 1958, the Wilkes family bought the 22-acre property. They continued to use the lower lake for fishing but dedicated the upper lake to recreational use. Junior Pace managed the property until the late 90s, after which the Wilkes family took over maintenance and reservation duties.

As the remaining Wilkes family members aged, they chose to pass Twin Lakes to the Saluda Community Land Trust to ensure it would continue serving the community as it always has.

Great for cookouts, birthday parties, family gatherings, and special events.

Check the calendar for open swim hours and swim lesson schedules from June through August.
