Walks in the Woods
Join us for a community-led hiking series on the first and third Sundays of each month from mid-March to mid-November, weather permitting. SCLT members will guide you on local favorite walks around Saluda. Each walk lasts about an hour and a half and highlights our area's natural treasures while encouraging outdoor activity.
Walkers should meet at the Saluda Library parking lot at 2 p.m. An SCLT member will guide you, providing information about the trail’s terrain, as well as insights into the area's history, flora, and fauna.
Wear comfortable shoes (water shoes if noted), bring a walking stick, water, and a snack. You’re welcome to bring field guides or a camera. Inform your guide of any relevant medical history. Some hikes may access private property with the owners' permission, which is normally off-limits to the public. Call ahead to see if dogs are allowed on the hike.
